Countless women throughout history have made the classic red lip their trademark, and quite frankly, I don’t blame them! Thanks to Rosie the Riveter, Lucille Ball, Audry Hepburn, and countless others (the list is endless!), this knock-you-socks-off red hue will forever be a sign of confidence.
Onto our 4 go-to brands and hues!
Really quick… You most definitely do not need makeup to feel confident, but man if I’m having a rough week, a bold red lip truly works wonders.
Technically, this is a multi-stick meaning you can use it on your cheeks, lips, and eyes, but if it’s okay with everybody we’re just going to call it a lipstick, okay? Okay.
THE TEXTURE OF THIS LIPSTICK OH MY GOODNESS!!!
I want to say that it’s powdery, but that sounds odd, let’s just say it is very matte but not drying.
I love that while this guy is more of a wine/berry red, it’s not overly dark.
My only complaint with this lip is that the stick (or bullet, as some call it) is completely blunt.
This makes the application a bit tricky, I would recommend using a lip brush if you want a defined cupid’s bow.
If you are looking for a lipstick that will never ever come off then look no further.
This is my go-to red when I know that I’ll be:
1. Eating a cupcake
2. Kissing our bunny lionel
3. Eating another cupcake
While this lip stays on like a trooper, it is quite drying.
I would definitely suggest putting a touch of lip balm on after the liquid lip has dried.
Need a red lip that doesn’t require a liner, is long lasting and goes on like butter? If so, then this guy has got you covered.
This shade is definitely a POW red with a solid blue undertone. Talk about the perfect shade for a vintage inspired look!
This lipstick has been my go-to for the last year. It’s moisturizing, the blue undertone creates a deep vintage red, and it is completely edible! Kind of an odd fact, but yes – if you were stranded on an island, you could eat this lipstick.
That’s all yall! What are some of your favorite red lips?
XOXO -Kenna
Nothing better than a red lip – it makes me instantly look and FEEL put together, which is what’s important. I really want to try that Sephora Always Red one now! Have you tried the Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencils? I almost exclusively wear them and love the Dragon Girl red.
P.S. Love the little diagram y’all made – so cute! 😉
